I am Dr. Shahrina Akhtar, an experienced Specialist (Technical) and Research Adviser with over a decade of dedicated service at the Krishi Gobeshona Foundation (KGF) since 2013. My professional journey reflects a strong commitment to advancing agricultural research, climate resilience, and sustainable development in Bangladesh. Throughout my career, I have successfully conceptualized, coordinated, and guided more than 30 high-impact research projects focused on sustainable agriculture, food security, and climate adaptation. Among these, my leadership in the nationally acclaimed Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) Technology project stands out for its significant contributions to increasing cropping intensity and ensuring water security in vulnerable regions. In addition to technical expertise, I have consistently demonstrated leadership in ensuring data integrity, intellectual property rights compliance, and publication of research outcomes in renowned international journals, enhancing the global visibility of KGF-funded research. Recognized as a thought leader in climate-smart agriculture, I represented KGF in numerous national and international platforms, including my selection as an ACIAR John Dillon Fellow in 2022 in Australia. My public communication efforts, including serving as a TV expert on Channel Nine, have further promoted public awareness of climate and agricultural challenges.
